Be Seen, Not Hurt
Now the clock’s have turned back and the nights have started to draw in, we are getting involved in the annual campaign run by The Child Brain Injury Trust #CBITGloWeek2023. The charity identified road traffic collisions as the leading cause of childhood brain injury in the UK, making up over 20% of their referrals (CBIT, 2022). Their campaign aims to reduce the number of road traffic collisions that involve children by asking those most vulnerable on the roads to wear bright clothing.
We are pledging to educate all the children we work with (as well as our own) about the importance of wearing BRIGHT and reflective clothing when travelling to and from school. And in true Participate style, we will be sneaking a little education about why the brain is SO important in everything we do!
The Child Brain Injury Trust have created a free training aimed to be delivered to primary school children - we recommend you check it out!
